GeoHub AI

A lightweight spatial data infrastructure with an AI layer: a region's or city's data in one place, published by the departments themselves and open to anyone.

  • Map viewer and data catalogue with natural-language search

📊 Project monitoring · Demo for cities
CityWatch

An information system for monitoring a city's EU- and state-funded projects: projects on a map, indicators, drawdown by fund and implementation status reports on a single dashboard.

  • Dashboard: number of projects, average progress, projects that need action
  • Map and database of projects filtered by fund and status
  • Status reports from implementers, cross-checked against the national ITMS2014+ system
  • Key indicators: target vs. actual, drawdown of ERDF, ESF+, CF and JTF
Core Pain
Project status lives in spreadsheets, e-mails and people's heads

From zero GIS unit to a regional open data infrastructure — in one year

Prešov Self-Governing Region & World Bank Group · 2018–2024

The Prešov Region — one of the poorest in the EU — had no functioning GIS unit when we started. Miloslav led the spatial data component of the World Bank Catching-Up Regions Initiative: building the geoportal from scratch, training staff and establishing INSPIRE-aligned data governance across the whole region.

Interactive client map for Dokumenty pre obce

An interactive client map the company updates itself

Dokumenty pre obce · 500+ municipalities · 2026

A company preparing documents for more than 500 Slovak municipalities needed a reference map it could maintain without a developer. We built a lightweight web map with an admin panel: a colleague types the name of a municipality, the national register fills in the district, region and coordinates, and the public map is up to date immediately. The whole dataset can be downloaded back at any time as CSV, Excel or GeoJSON.

511municipalities on the map at launch
2 884Slovak municipalities in the register for automatic completion
0developer interventions – the company adds municipalities itself, backups are automatic

Roma Settlements Mapping Mapathon #1 — June 24, 2020, Prešov Region

First Missing Maps mapathon in the Prešov Region — making invisible communities visible

Prešov Self-Governing Region · World Bank · University of Prešov · 2020

In 2020, we organised the first ever Missing Maps mapathon at the Prešov Region offices — a landmark event mapping marginalized Roma settlements that had never appeared in any official dataset. Working with geography students and experts from Prešov University, our team conducted field surveys in six pilot municipalities, digitizing building footprints and conditions directly into OpenStreetMap.

6municipalities field-surveyed: Čičava, Dlhé Stráže, Krivany, Ostrovany, Varadka, Varhaňovce

From field to database: inventorying public infrastructure across the Prešov Region

Prešov Self-Governing Region · 2020–2022

Using QGIS and Mergin Maps, we designed and deployed end-to-end field data collection workflows for the Prešov Region — capturing suburban bus stops with schedules and accessibility data, outdoor advertising structures, bridge conditions and building registries. GPS-accurate records collected on mobile devices flowed directly into the regional geospatial database, ready for analysis and planning.

Open-source GIS literacy for government: 50+ planners and civil servants trained

Prešov Self-Governing Region & Ministry of Investments SR · 2019–2024

We designed and delivered a multi-year QGIS training programme for the Prešov Region — turning civil servants, architects and urban planners into confident GIS practitioners. Courses covered open data workflows, spatial analysis, geoportal use and field data collection. The curriculum was later adapted as a national reference for other Slovak regions seeking to build their own GIS capacity.
